COOPERA - Integrating Dual Higher Education in Moldova and Ukraine
Project summery
The initiative addresses the pressing challenges of youth unemployment and the need to strengthen the relevance of higher education to the labour market.
The dual higher education (DHE) model uniquely combines academic learning at universities with practical training in partner enterprises, equipping students with both theoretical knowledge and applied professional skills.
By developing a flexible and adaptable model for Moldova and Ukraine, the project fosters closer cooperation between universities, businesses, and public authorities, enhances graduate employability, and supports economic efficiency and social integration.
Specific objectives
Identify the specific needs and requirements of companies across different industries and select enterprises willing to pilot dual higher education during the project.
Develop a flexible and generic DHE model that accommodates the diverse needs of employers, higher education institutions, and students, and provide institutional recommendations for its implementation.
Test the DHE models generated from the generic framework through pilot activities conducted during the project, and analyse the outcomes.
Propose legislative and regulatory amendments necessary for adapting dual higher education in the partner countries.
