The project addresses Moldova’s priorities as an EU candidate country, aligning veterinary education with EU standards and the National Strategy for Agricultural and Rural Development 2023–2030 (SNDAR 2023–2030). It responds to critical national challenges such as outdated curricula, insufficient infrastructure, and the need for applied research in veterinary medicine, food safety, and public health.
By integrating the One Health approach and strengthening cooperation between universities, public administration, and industry, EDUVET modernises veterinary higher education in line with the Bologna Process. The initiative also enhances professional competences through lifelong learning (LLL), improves governance and institutional management, and develops advanced laboratories for research and teaching.
In this way, EDUVET contributes simultaneously to national reform in education and health, institutional modernisation, and individual skills development, fostering Moldova’s integration into the European Higher Education Area (EHEA).
To modernise and implement an advanced integrative higher education programme in Veterinary Medicine in line with Bologna requirements and national accreditation standards.
